Contour®
Moldable BioactiveBone Matrix
STRIP
Moldable Bioactive Bone Graft
Contour® Strip is a moldable bioactive synthetic bone graft designed for easy handling and reliable defect filling.
PUCK
Moldable Bioactive Bone Graft
Contour® Puck is a versatile bioactive synthetic bone graft, easily shaped to fit defect sites and support consistent bone healing.
Contour® BA Moldable Bioactive Bone Graft Matrix is composed of carbonate apatite anorganic bone mineral, bioactive glass, and Type I collagen that can be molded to fit any size bone defect. It is an osteoconductive, bioactive, porous implant that allows for bony ingrowth across the graft site. The bone graft matrix is slowly resorbed and replaced by new bone tissue during the natural healing process.
Key Benefits
2 for 1 Versatility
Upon hydration, Contour® BA can be used in its original shape or optionally molded into alternative shapes to address the unique contours of each defect.
Handling
Combined with either autogenous bone marrow, autograft or saline. Moldable, flexible, absorbent, resists migration upon irrigation.
Absorbency
Competitive Absorbency Ratios (ml/g):
Almost 2x more absorbent
Features
Our Bioactive Solutions
Significant technological advancements have been made in mineralized collagen bone grafting over the last 2 decades. Predictable resorption rates, similar to human bone, are now attained by optimizing the type, form and content of mineral and bioglass in the collagen matrix. Such developments have allowed us to create a graft with controlled remodeling and desired handling characteristics.
Our Bioactive Glass Component
30% Bioactive glass is incorporated into Contour® BA, within the suggested critical range of 5-40% for optimal osteoblast growth and calcium phosphate formation in a composite.
Our Composition
Our bioactive composite bone graft matrix is a combination of three components: carbonate apatite anorganic bovine bone mineral, 45S5 bioactive glass, and Type I Collagen. When combined, they provide an optimal scaffold to support the body’s natural ability to regenerate new bone.
Our Granule Size
A narrow particle size distribution of 100-300µm is utilized to provide a more controlled rate of ion dissolution & surface reactivity, and a more consistent rate of bone bonding & proliferation. This exemplary particle size (100-300µm) is due to the fact that larger sized particles may not fully resorb and smaller particles may resorb away quickly. This can impede the upregulation of osteoprogenitor cells.
